Bel-Cross Properties

I have rented several apartments from Bel-Cross. Bill is very brusque, loud, and boisterous(sometimes mildly offensive at first). If you are professional and business-like with him, and pay your rent on time, he likes you. That's been my experience. He has never harassed me or mis-treated me for being female, he makes repairs usually quite quickly. A few times one of the repairmen was messy, but that's all. Be very clear and forthright with him, pay your rent, and even bicker back at him, and you will have a reliable landlord. Arthur is Bill's opposite, quiet and reserved. I find that using the form on their web site to e-mail Bill about issues usually receives a reasonable response, and phoning works as well.

Bill Burton is a cranky pants most of the time, but he maintains the properties well and will fix problems very quickly if you ask (you have to ask). Bel-Cross also takes care of the landscaping for the property and general maintenance (furnace filters etc), which is a plus. In my time with them, I never had any unannounced visits. I would rent from them again.

Bill Burton does take some getting used to, but seriously, how often do I see him? Only when I go in to renew my lease. (3 times so far.) However difficult he may seem, he is an excellent landlord and has always addressed repair issues promptly and efficiently. By far the best landlord I've ever had! The maintenance crew is phenominal! While Bill can sometimes be crude, the Younger guy in the office, Arthur, is incredibly professional and friendly and has also been available to help with any issues that may arise in the course of my lease. I would deal with him, ladies! Arthur is courteous, respectful, and VERY easy on the eyes.

Great apartment!!! Our heating went out one Friday night, and it was fixed bright and early Saturday morning. That was the only repair we ever needed. No complaints here.

Total disrespectful as*hole. Makes perverted comments. Mabey he thinks he doesn't have to try because he owns all the shi*ty houses and apt. in morgantown. His attitude will catch up to him eventually. Brought back mail order bride from vietnam. So if your an asian female he might not treat you like dirt. the apt. was run down. the ceiling almost fell through. He had someone come to look at it but never got fixed.

Bel-Cross was great to rent from. Bill took a little bit to get used to, but I always felt that it was just a hard shell. The staff was great. We always got our repairs taken care of quickly, and that is really saying something in Morgantown. The younger guy in the office showed us the apartment. He was fabulous, and pretty cute too.

Any time we had a repair, it was taken care of quickly. I give them two thumbs up. I would recommend Bel-Cross to anyone.

Without a doubt, Bill Burton is rude and unprofessional. He will give you sh*t and make fun of you, but as someone above noted, if you give him sh*t back, he appreciates it and becomes almost likable. As far as his capabilities as a landlord, I have been renting from him for three years and have been very satisfied. We've never had to wait more than a few days to have maintenace done, and he's always given notice before coming to our place. I have heard a lot of horror stories about other landlords, but I'm hard-pressed to think of anything significant complaints. Bill Burton for president 2008.

Pretty good company to rent from. Some of the properties are old, but the prices in the rent reflect this, so I can't complain. He always gave notice before entering, was always available and fixed things extremely quickly compared to most landlords. Mr. Burton can be harsh sometimes, but he was never unfair or outright rude to me or my roommate. He is a good guy to rent from and I would rent from him again.
